AITUC extends support

All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), Manipur State Committee appealed the Government to provide proper equipment and accessories and give appropriate honorarium to ASHA and Angawadi workers.
In a statement issued yesterday, L Sotinkumar, general secretary, AITUC said the ASHA and Anganwadi workers have been utilised as frontline workers in the fight against the pandemic and they have been working at village level to provide awareness about the pandemic and provide essential items to Covid as well as non Covid patients during the pandemic.
AITUC also extended support for the state wide protest by Angangwadi and ASHA workers affiliated to central trade unions on July 10 raising various demands.
