Manipur Driver's Association extends help to kin of deceased truck driver

IMPHAL, Jul 14: Manipur Driver's Association (MDA) helped in transporting the body of a truck driver from Manipur to his native place in Uttar Pradesh to perform the last rites.
The deceased truck driver identified as Massod Akhtar (57 yrs) from Kareem Nagar under Muzzaffarpur of Uttar Pradesh.
He was found dead inside the truck which he used to drive in Khabam Chumbreithong under the jurisdiction of Heingang Police Station in Imphal East district yesterday.
With the help of Heingang PS, his dead body has been taken to his native place.
Also monetary assistance of Rs 10, 000 was extended to the son of the deceased by Ashem Bhagiroth, assistant general secretary of MDA.
