UPAAK nominates L Sanjoy

IMPHAL, Jul 11: Social worker Lourembam Sanjoy has been nominated  to contest in the upcoming Manipur Legislative Assembly from Andro Assembly Constituency.
The decision was taken during a meeting convened by United Progressive Association Andro Kendra (UPAAK) at Yairipok Yambem today and the attendees pledged to support L Sanjoy in the best possible way.
Also, Advocate Md Zakir Hussain from Yairipok Tulihal has been appointed as the president of UPAAK unanimously during the meeting. On the other hand, UPAAK also welcomed the two vice presidents of Development Organisation Andro Kendra along with its 20 members on joining UPAAK and for supporting L Sanjoy.
Further the members also prayed for the peace of UPAAK's former president, late Alhaz Fakharuddin.
Speaking on the occasion, the intending candidate L Sanjoy expressed satisfaction on the activities of UPAAK and also assured to work selflessly for the people of Andro AC. The new president Md Zakir Hussain also expressed gratitude on appointing him as the president and also affirmed his stand to support L Sanjoy wholeheartedly.
