AMUCO continues distribut
IMPHAL, Jul 1
The All Manipur United Club Organisation (AMUCO) in association with All Manipur Women Voluntary Association (AMAWOVA) and Northern United Clubs Organisation (NUCO), an apex body formed by 64 clubs distributed edible items to around 171 (one hundred and seventy one) which have been affected by COVID-19 at different places in Imphal West and Kangpokpi districts today.
In a press release, AMUCO said that the edible items were distributed to households as per the list submitted by their respective local clubs.
President of AMUCO, Pheiroijam Nando Luwang and general secretary of NUCO, Thoudam Johnson Mangang were also present in today's distribution programme.
The items were distributed to households of Khonghampat Awang Leikai, Khonghampat Mayai Leikai, Khonghampat Mantri Leikai, Khonghampat Khunou, Kharmal, Pheidinga, Maharabi, Sekmai, Loitang, Kanto Makha Leikai in Imphal West district and at Motbung, Kalapahar and Sapermeina in Kangpokpi district.
Further AMUCO stressed on the need to get vaccinated in order to combat the COVID-19 effectively and urged all to strictly follow the Covid SOPs and guidelines issued by the Government.
AMUCO called for concerted efforts from all to ramp up the vaccination drive in the State and urged the local clubs, CSOs and meira paibis to sensitize the general public regarding the benefits of vaccination amid such a grim situation in the State.
