IMPHAL, Jun 2
Government should open a grievance cell to cater to issues arising out of private hospitals charging more than the price fixed by the Government.
All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) said this in a statement issued today and added that AMSU welcomed the Government decision to cap the hospital charges for Covid related treatment.
However, an issue regarding hospital bill not matching with the ones fixed by the Government had happened recently and there is also no saying that such issues will not happen in future. In light of this there is a need to open a grievance cell to cater to all the issues arising out of this, AMSU appealed.
AMSU also said the Government should issue a clarification to clear the doubt regarding distribution of ration under NFSA and PMGKAY as it has created a lot of unwanted tussle between the FPS agents and the public.
AMSU also expressed gratitude for all the life saving works the Government has taken up to save lives of the public during this time of the pandemic.
