IMPHAL, Jun 23 : The United Association of Recognised Schools of Manipur (UARSoM) has urged the All Manipur Students Guardians' Organisation (AMGSO) to immediately stop depicting the association (UARSoM) in a bad light.
A press release issued by UARSoM stated that the guardians organization, depicting UARSoM in a bad light with utmost disrespect for its statement on a collection of tuition fees from the students is condemnable in the strongest term.
Saying that UARSoM welcomes the notification of the Education department (S) that directs schools to collect 50 percent of the monthly payable fees, the association clarified that they never force parents/guardians to pay more fee than the rate fixed by the Government.
UARSoM does request the parents/guardians who wish to pay school fees more than the rate fixed by the Government to do so but not more than 70 percent considering the nature of the teaching-learning process but it was not obligatory, the statement clarified.
The association further stated they welcome the notification of the Education department as the rate fixed by the department is what the student organizations (AMSU , MSF, DESAM, KSA, SUK, and AIMS) and UARSoM agreed upon after threadbare discussion.
AMSGO, which is formed by some like-minded people from Imphal areas should at once stop depicting UARSoM which is an apex body of schools in Manipur in a bad light, it contended.
The UARSoM which was formed on June 11, 2020, by different associations has been recognized by the State Government for its unstinted effort to bring quality education in both the hills and valley of Manipur, it narrated.
Stating that UARSoM is ready to face any challenges that aim to obstruct the efforts to bring quality education in the hills and valley of Manipur, the statement asserted that disrespecting UARSoM is akin to challenging the unity of Manipur.
