Gratitude
IMPHAL, Jun 20 : The Observance Committee of 20th The Great June Uprising, Unity Day 2021 has expressed gratitude to all individuals and groups who had participated and helped in commemorating the brave souls.
Though small, the programme in honour of the martyrs who laid down their lives in the June 18 mass movement for protection of the territorial integrity of the State was successfully observed with strict adherence to Covid SOPs, said the Convenor of the Observance Committee 2021 in a statement today.
The committee, constituted by AMUCO and UCM also thanked all who extended monetary and logistic support to make the observation programme a successful one.
The committee applauded 'Uripok Helpline'- a youth organisation for extending physical support in helping the participants to sanitise at the gate of the programme site of Kekrupat apart from distributing drinking water and face masks.
The committee also thanked voluntary support of Keishamthong Kendra Ward-9 COVID-19 Task Force for reaching out with face masks and packaged drinking water during the commemorative programme.
The observance committee also thanked local clubs, Meira Paibi bodies for observing the day at local level and other generous persons who voluntarily donated blood at camps opened at RIMS and JNIMS in connection with the day.
Thanking Imphal West district administration, Manipur police and traffic police personnel, the observance committee also went on to thank Arun Enterprises for stage and hall, KISS Sound for light and sound, Superintendent of Archeology Department, Kangla Fort Board, Environment Department, Likla Bakery, Selloi Zone, print media and TV channels for coverage and live broadcasting the event.
The committee also sought continuous support from all towards the cause of territorial integrity and unity.
