MPP presses for appointment of regular VC of MU

The Manipur People's Party (MPP) has expressed resentment over the Government for its apathy towards the sorry state of Manipur University which is without a regular VC for a very long period.
It is indeed very unfortunate that a central university like Manipur University is being left unattended and without a regular VC at its helm, said MPP in a statement.
Lack of interest on the part of concerned authorities has largely contributed in sinking Manipur University's credibility and ranking among Indian Universities while universities in neighbouring States are doing well, lamented MPP which also went on to appeal Manipur's Governor, Chief Minister and MPs to press for appointment of a regular VC for Manipur University.
