Imphal, Jun  9 (DIPR) : SBI Foundation today donated one ambulance (Tata Magic Express 6+P Type–B) to the Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility and to facilitate the Government’s fight against the pandemic.
The foundation had also decided to extend support with medical equipment worth over Rs one crore to the State for development of permanent infrastructure in the health sector.
Many other organizations and individuals also extended support by donating to the Relief Fund.
Nagakarthik MP, founder, Sauramandala Foundation donated 25 Oxygen Concentrators (5L), 50 Portable Concentrators and 10,000 number of N-95 face masks.
Meanwhile, Ching Tam News Manipur contributed Rs 1,77,777, Superintendent Engineer Lairenjam Maipak Singh donated Rs 55,234; former Minister N Mangi Singh donated Rs 1,10,000 and Weaver Cell Convenor of BJP Manipur Pradesh, L Sorojini Devi contributed an amount of Rs 10,000.
Pradhan, Wangoo GP P Baleshwor Singh and Member, Wangoo Borayangbi ZP M Brojen Singh also jointly contributed Rs 1,10,000.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh expressed his gratitude to the SBI Foundation and also to the organizations and individuals which had extended support in this crucial hour of fighting the pandemic.
