CM condoles

IMPHAL, May 31: Chief Minister N Biren Singh has condoled  the demise of W Brajabidhu Singh, ex Minister and three-time MLA from Lamsang Assembly Constituency. In his condolence message, the CM noted that Brajabidhu  was an efficient politician by passion. He was born on March 1, 1949.
Brajabidhu who joined politics in the early 1970s was first elected to the Manipur Legislative Assembly in 2002 and became the Minister of  State for Minor Irrigation and CADA. He was re-elected in 2007 and  2012, he added.
Saying that the late politician was also the Chief Functionary of Rural Development Organisation Lamdeng from 1975 to 2002 and had attended  international conferences in over 10 countries, the CM  mourned that the State has lost an exemplary leader whose absence  would be hard to fill.
