Four violators found positive

IMPHAL, Jun 1 : In a disturbing turn of events, of 29 people pulled up and subjected to random testing four of them were found positive for Covid.
In a social media post, Chief Minister N Biren said that this was a matter of serious concern.
To venture out irresponsibly during curfew and endangering other people’s life will attract strict punishment under law, the Chief Minister added.  
The State police detained 172 persons for violating Covid restrictions and guidelines issued by the Government and State Disaster Management Authority and collected a sum Rs 68,700 as fines.
The cumulative figure of people detained now stands at 1,43,697 while the cumulative fine collected till date is 2,15,51,560 (Rs Two crore, fifteen lakh, fifty one thousand five hundred and sixty).
