Vaccination protocols issued

IMPHAL, May 2: The State Health Society has issued protocols to be maintained at Covid Vaccination Centres (CVCs) in view of the sudden eagerness for vaccination among the public and increased Covid cases in the State.
Informing DFWOs/ DIOs, the State Health Society said that each CVC should carry out 1st dose vaccination of 100 beneficiaries each day on a first come first serve basis. Tokens should be strictly given only to a beneficiary on reaching the  centre, it said. However, there should be no restriction for second dose beneficiaries, it said.
DFWOs/ DIOs should ensure that vaccination is conducted only at designated CVCs opened at Government health facilities and other eligible private hospitals to manage any case of AEFI (adverse event following immunization), it said while adding that camp-based approach of vaccination in the community should be avoided.
