Manipur Loumi Lup extends gratitude
IMPHAL, May 26: Manipur Loumi Lup extended gratitude to trade union organisations and political parties for supporting 'Black Day' observed across the country to mark the six months completion of farmers' protest against the controversial three farm laws.
In a press release, the Lup alleged that the Union Government is favouring the elite classes instead of working out on developmental measures for the welfare of the farmers and innocent masses when the entire country is reeling under the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
It continued that many leaders and economists across the world have opined that farmers and labourers contribute majorly towards the economic growth of the country however the Union Government has not heeded to the demands of the farmers though the protest against the farm laws have completed six months.
Lastly Manipur Loumi Lup urged the Government to revoke the three controversial farm laws at the earliest.
