Union appeals

IMPHAL, May 25 : The All Manipur Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Field Assistant Employees Union has resolved to  launch an intense agitation if the Government fails to appoint an appropriate officer as Director of Veterinary and Animal  Husbandry Department as per service rules at the earliest. In a statement, general secretary of the union, Ch Ashok Kumar  said the Director (MVS-I) should be appointed from amongst a regular Joint Director possessing a postgraduate degree or diploma in Veterinary Sciences, he added. Charging that the appointment of a non-technical officer as a Director of V&AH  is a mala fide practice, Ashok Kumar asserted that the union will launch intense agitation if the demand is not heeded.
