Vaccination for scribes

IMPHAL, May 22 : The Covid vaccination programme (first dose) organised by  the All Manipur Working Journalist Union with the assistance of State Mission Director, National Health Mission came to end today after 12 days.
The mass vaccination programme for journalists of all media houses, DIPR, DDK Imphal, AIR-Imphal, non journalists working in all media firms and newspaper distributors was kick-started on May 11 after journalists in the State were assured to be acknowledged as frontline workers by the State Government.      
50 journalists were vaccinated each day at vaccination centres opened at 2nd MR and at 1st MR parade ground simultaneously. Necessary arrangements are being made for vaccination of the second doses of Covid vaccine at these centres, said AMWJU in a statement.
