IMPHAL, May 20: Indian Medical Association (IMA), Manipur State Branch condole the demise of Padma Shree Dr Krishan Kumar Aggarwal, former secretary general and national president of IMA after battling COVID-19.
An emergency condolence meeting was held on May 18 and observed two minutes of silence and prayed that the departed soul may rest in peace, said a statement.
IMA, Dr Krishan Kumar Aggarwal recalled him as a distinguished cardiologist of the country and also a scholar, writer and a visionary and stated that his contributions in the healthcare of the Nation will always be remembered.
Manipur Loumi Marup expressed grief at the demise of  Thoudam Komol, former secretary of the Marup.
Thoudam Komol actively participated in the farmer's struggle in the State and presented the issues of the farmers at the national level and his contributions for the welfare of the farmers will always be remembered, said a condolence message.
As a mark of respect to the departed soul, the flag of the Manipur Loumi Marup will be flown at half mask and stated that his demise is a huge loss for the farmers community.
All Manipur Veterinary and A H Field Assistant Employees Union condoled the demise of Hemam Birjit Khuman who was a driver at Veterinary and A H Field Department and also shared the pain of the bereaved family.
