Many condole

IMPHAL, May 18
Many condoled the demise of many distinguished personalities in the last couple of days.
Communist Party of India condoled the demise of former Ministers Laisom Lalit and Vivek Raj Wangkhem. In a statement issued today CPI remembered the contribution of Laisom Lalit in trying to solve issues in the state in many instances. CPI also said the death of Vivek Raj at such a young age has left a vacuum in NPP. CPI also condoled the demise of Thiyam Ibohal (Kabi Chaoba) today, he was 78.
United Front Manipur (UFM) condoled the demise of ENT specialist, lyricists, Manipuri poet, novelist and short story Dr Jodhachandra Sanasam. UFM also condoled the demise of Laisom Lalit and Vivek Raj Wangkhem. UFM said Laisom Lalit was a political thinker who had a broad mind and sacrificing spirit and Vivek Raj Wangkhem was an able politician and an actor cum film director cum producer.
Republican Party of India (A) also condoled Dr Jodhachandra Sanasam, Laisom Lalit and Vivek Raj Wangkhem. RPI (A) shared the grief of the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace.
Sheirengbashingee Apunba Lup (SHAL) also condoled Dr Jodhachandra Sanasam. A condolence meeting was held today through video conferencing which was attended by Moirangthem Manihar, vice president, SHAL; Jiban Moirangthem, general secretary; Homendro Irengbam, joint secretary; Keisham Priyokumar, finance secretary amongst other and observed a two minute silence for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Naharol Sahitya Premee Samiti condoled the demise of Thiyam Ibohal (Kabi Chaoba) today. Kabi Chaoba published number of poems and short stories. He published anthology of poems 'Rekha' and 'Lai amadi Bindu' and short story 'Eteimashi' in 'Wakhal' magazine.
All Manipur Dharma Raksha Samiti also condoled the demise of Prof S Tiken, president of BJP Manipur Pradesh.
In a statement issued today CPI(M) condoled the demise of veteran CPI(M) leader Thoudam Komol. During his lifetime he was secretariat member of CPI(M) Manipur State Committee, secretary of Manipur Loumee Marup (AIKS) and All India Kishan Council during the 1990s and 2000s. He died today due Covid related complications at the age of 78.
Senior Citizens for Society condoled the demise of Laisom Lalit, president of the society.
