‘Silence sirens’
IMPHAL, May 18: Ambulance sirens would now be silenced as they cause social anxiety and people to panic amid the prevailing situation of COVID-19 pandemic, said a memorandum of Director of health Services, Manipur, Dr K Rajo Singh.
Considering that roads are empty and there is no traffic with curbs imposed, ambulance sirens should be silenced. Only when [the vehicle] is blocked, sirens should be activated, said the memorandum.
