More fines collected

IMPHAL, May 14: Manipur Police continued to crackdown on Covid SOP and curfew violators and collected Rs 55,150 as fines today.
Today, the police detained as many as 133 persons. They were imposed fines and advised to follow Covid SOPs and respect the restrictions imposed due to the pandemic, said a statement of the police.
Meanwhile, the Police Department has warned that those who violate the guidelines and restrictions shall be dealt with strong legal action under National Disaster Management Act, 2005 and other appropriate laws.
