Condolences pour in

IMPHAL, May 11: Manipur literary organisations in the State continued to condole the demise of noted lyricist and writer Irengbam Kesho on May 10. The Sheihek Sheireng Sheipan Shemgat Kup (SHEIPAL) and Iramdam Meeyamgi Apunba Khorjei Lup (IMAKHOL), in their separate statements, mourned the passing away of Irengbam Kesho who once took a very pivotal role in the field of literature in the State. SHEIPAL president, Dr Athokpam Khelchandra led its members in praying tribute to the late soul today, a condolence note issued by SHEIPAL said. The members also recalled the contributions to the field of literature during the meeting , it said while adding that the members also prayed for his soul to rest in peace. IMAKHOL had yesterday convened a condolence meeting at 4 pm in honour of Irengbam Kesho who was also the founder secretary of the organisation and former president (2016-18), with its incumbent president Dr RK Gunachandra Singh in the chair.
