Writers' Forum condoles

Writers' Forum, Imphal condoled the demise of Lourembam Brojendakumar.
The members of the forum observed a two minutes silence for the departed soul to rest in peace at the condolence meeting held at the office of the forum and presided by Keisham Priyokumar, president, Writers' Forum, Imphal.
K Priyokumar said in a statement issued today that Lourembam Brojendakumar was born on August 17, 1930 at Kulaura (in present day Bangladesh) who showed the love for Manipuri language and literacy from early period and started writing short stories and poems for school magazines. When the partition happened, he migrated to India alongwith his family and completed his schooling from Manipur.
He passed his matriculation exam from Manipur and served as a columnist at 'Lasani' journal under the pen name 'Megasthenes'.
He published two books titled 'Onthokpa Warol' and 'Halakpa' in 2012.
