Ambulance attacked at Kangpokpi

Lamyanba Ambulance Service in a statement strongly condemned the attack on its ambulance at Kangpokpi Bazar yesterday night.
The statement said that the ambulance was returning to Imphal with blue lights on after transferring patients to Guwahati and gunshots were fired upon the van at Kangpokpi Bazar yesterday night around 8.25 pm however the medical team did not sustain any injuries though the van was damaged.
Terming such life attempts on those providing emergency services and serving the people earnestly as unfortunate, Lamyanba Ambulance Service appealed the authorities concerned to look into the matter at the earliest.
The statement continued that such incidents will degrade the spirit of the staff and medical team who have been serving the people of the State since 2019.
