DMUTKLI celebrates 1st annual freshers’ meet

IMPHAL, Mar 27
The 1st Freshers Meet of DM University Tangkhul Katamnao Long was held at GM Hall today.
It was attended by Education Minister S Rajen Singh as Chief Guest and IGP IK Muivah as Guest of Honour.
Education Minister S Rajen Singh welcomed the introduction of Tangkhul language along with other tribal languages in DMU. He emphasised on the need  of the students to work hard and do well in the competitive exams.
Guru Reuben Mashangva was felicitated for receiving the Padmashree award. He also showcased the Tangkhul Sibu (flute) with four holes by playing the traditional folk music at the event.
DM College of Science Principal Bhubaneshwari Devi and  DESAM president Edison Nameirakpam also attended the function.
