Manihar Goswami appointed as advisor

IMPHAL, Mar 26: Manihar Goswami, president of Janata Dal (Secular) Manipur State Unit was appointed as advisor of United Front Manipur today.
Manihar Goswami will be advisor till March 26, 2024, said a statement issued by United Front Manipur.
He was editor of a Manipuri daily and a prominent socialist leader who was jailed many times for demanding statehood to Manipur and was also in Tihar Jail during emergency, added the statement.
The statement added that he was also founder of Socialist Front, Manipur and currently serving as president of Hind Mazdoor Sabha, Manipur.
