Conference held

IMPHAL, Mar 26: A conference of Khulem Leikai Branch under Uripok Local Council, Manipur State Council, Communist Party of India (MSC/CPI) was held yesterday at Shamushang presided by H Chaoren Singh.
The deteriorating trend of present day politics was discussed in detail during the conference, said a statement from Uripok Local Council MSC/CPI.
Also the prevalent water scarcity issue within the jurisdiction of the council was given special emphasis in view of the hardships faced by the locals since the past few months and resolved to urge the authorities concerned to solve the issue at the earliest in the interest of the general public.
Further it demanded to finish the repairing work of Uripok Kangchup road soon.
Also S Biren Singh, K Opendro Singh and S Rijit Singh have been elected as the branch secretary, assistant secretary and treasurer respectively of the Khulem Leikai Branch for the  ongoing term during the conference.
