Five more test positive

IMPHAL, Mar 25 : Five more individuals were tested positive for COVID-19 at Babina Diagnostics and Shija Hospital during the last 24 hours.
A press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang informed that all the five individuals who have been confirmed as COVID-19 positive are residents of Imphal West (2), Imphal East (2) and Bishnupur (1).
On the other hand, one COVID-19 positive person was discharged from Shija Hospital during the last 24 hours. The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,367 (general population 25,925 and Central security personnel 3,442).
It includes 57 active cases (general population 48 and Central security personnel 9) and 28,936 recovered cases (general population 25,507 and Central security personnel 3,429).
The recovery rate as on Thursday is 98.53 per cent  while the death toll stands at 374.
Meanwhile, 657 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on Wednesday, taking the cumulative figure to 83,749 and it includes 31,395 health care workers.  
Further, air passengers who travelled to the State on March 23 by Indigo flight  6E-2019 (Delhi-Imphal) in rows 1-9,15-21 and Indigo flight 6E-6241 in rows 9-15 have been asked to report to the common Covid control room on 1800343818 or respective District Surveillance Officers.
