7th Pay ultimatum

IMPHAL, Mar 24 : The Teachers’ Association (TA) and Association for All Non-Teaching Staff (AANTS) of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) have served an ultimatum of four days from March 23 to the Government to take up concrete steps for implementation of 7th Pay.
In a joint statement today, the associations said the ultimatum was served as the 7th ROP has not been implemented for JNIMS in spite of the verbal assurance given by the Chief Secretary to implement the same in 100 days.
The associations held a joint general body meeting yesterday and resolved to cancel all academic activities from March 29 to April 4. Further intense agitation may be launched thereafter, said the joint statement.
