76,055 vaccinated

IMPHAL, Mar 14 : Even as Manipur State recorded only 2 fresh Covid infections, the number of people vaccinated against the disease has reached 76,055.
592 people were vaccinated against the disease yesterday and of the total number of people who have been inoculated so far, 30,735 of them are healthcare workers, said Government COVID-19 Common Control Room today.
Meanwhile, the 2 fresh cases were detected at JNIMS. While one of them hails from Imphal West, the other belongs to Churachandpur district.
With these two cases, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases has reached 29,313 including 25,879 civilians and 3,434 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 26 including 25 civilians and one Central security personnel.
On the other hand, 3 people have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours. While two of them recovered under home isolation, the other person has been discharged from JNIMS.
The total number of recovered cases has reached 28,914 including 25,485 civilians and 3,429 Central security personnel. The recovery rate stands at 98.63 percent.
With zero death due to COVID-19 reported in the last 24 hours, the death toll remains at 373, said the report issued by Additional Director, Health, Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
