Ema Keithel cleaned

IMPHAL, Mar 14: Ema Keithel was cleaned today following the initiative of Chief Minister N Biren Singh to close the market for one day in a month and clean it. The market shed was cleaned by Kanglei Economic Development Organisation (KEDO) and vendors of  Ema Keithel. Soibam Maniton, president, KEDO said the Chief Minister had proposed cleaning of the market shed by closing the Ema Keithel to keep Ema Keithel neat and clean, following the proposal, KEDO and vendors of Ema Keithel cleaned the market shed and its surrounding, dustbins were installed and flowers were also planted. Today's event was inaugurated by K Meghachandra, SP, Imphal West and was also attended by OC City Police, representatives of vendors in Ema Keithel; RO IMC; Blooming Manipur; personnel of Manipur Fire Service and volunteers of KEDO. One of the vendors, Ema Mangi said the initiatives taken up by CM N Biren Singh for the welfare of the vendors and the Ema Keithel was commendable.
