Attack decried

IMPHAL, Feb 28: Womenfolk of Keishampat Aheibam Leirak staged a sit-in protest condemning “attack” at the residence of Republican Party of India (Athawale) Manipur State Committee president Mahesh Thounaojam yesterday.
At the sit-in staged at the gate of Mahesh’s residence, Keishampat Aheibam Leirak Women Welfare Association president Th Dhaneshwori stated that unknown persons opened fire late night yesterday at the gate.
Individuals and groups concerned should clarify regarding the incident and such activities of creating havoc and fear among the people must be stopped. Such incidents also threaten the lives of the public as well, she said.
