Rescued dogs

IMPHAL, Feb 6 : Stating that the 30 dogs which were rescued from TNK ground at Senapati are being kept at the animal shelter house at Porompat, Joint Director (Planning) of Veterinary Department, Ch Nandakishore has appealed to all who want to adopt the dogs to visit the department's office.
Briefing media persons at the office of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry at Sanjenthong, Nandakishore continued that the department is supervising the conditions of the rescued dogs.
He apprised that the dogs were rescued by the personnel of Senapati police station and volunteers of People for Animal and Dogs Protection Society, Manipur on January 30 last from TNK ground, Senapati and are kept at the shelter house run by the Manipur State Animal Welfare Board following the directive of CJM Senapati and on humanitarian ground.
There are certain problems in looking after all the dogs at once, the Joint Director said and requested those willing to adopt the rescued dogs to treat them (dogs) with kindness.
