Suo moto case
IMPHAL, Feb 24: Taking serious note of normal classes being disrupted following the class boycott agitation launched by teachers, the Manipur Human Rights Commission (MHRC) has taken up a suo moto case.
After registering the suo moto case, the MHRC has asked the State Government to take up all necessary measures so that normal classes can be resumed at the earliest.
A notice served on the State Government through the Education Commissioner and the Director directed that the Commission should be informed about the measures taken up by the Government on or before March 5.
The Commission further pointed out that right to education is a fundamental right of all students and it should not be curtailed under any circumstances.
