Rakesh Naorem selected for Indo-Bangla International Friendship Award 2021

IMPHAL, Dec 8: Rakesh Naorem has been selected for the prestigious Indo-Bangla International Friendship Award 2021 in the Social Activist & Arts category to be conferred by World Book of Star Records.
Dr Rajib Pal, Director of World Book of Star Records informed Rakesh Naorem of his nomination for the forenamed award.
The award will be presented during a two-day event to celebrate the award ceremony of World Book of Star Records and an International Conference slated for Dec 18 and 19.
It is worth mentioning that Rakesh Naorem hails from Tentha Khongbal, Thoubal district and is the s/o Naorem Chaoba and N Borni, father of two boys and husband to N Romila.
Rakesh Naorem has contributed a lot towards strengthening the bonds between Bangladeshis and Manipuri Meeteis by visiting Meetei villages in Bangladesh and working for the upliftment of social and cultural ethos. Further he also played a big role as the convenor of Manipur Cultural Team during the Indo-Bangla Manipuri Cultural Festival 2018. He also participated as troop leader of Manipur Cultural Troop at BISGOAN Manipuri Festival 2020 and produced the short film "Bangladeshki Thoibi" and Manipuri feature film "Bangladeshki Sana Tampha".
