United Front Manipur resolves

IMPHAL, Dec 6
United Front Manipur conducted a meeting yesterday at the residence of Dr Th Inaocha Singh, vice chairman of the Front and president Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress at Lambal Makha Leikai, Lamsang AC.
As per a statement released today, the meeting was presided over by Thokchom Surjaboro Singh, president of United Front, Manipur.
During the meeting the front arrived at four resolutions. First, the Front resolved to not lend their support to any political party involved in the administration of the State but instead to bring together a group of secular and progressive political parties and support the candidates from these parties.
Secondly, the Front resolved to extend their support to their intending candidates and candidates of affiliated political parties in 17 ACs.
Thirdly, the Front selected Thongbam Ronel Singh, president Manipur State Committee as an executive member of the Front.
Lastly, the statement added that parties who do not partake in the activities and meetings of the Front will be requested to retire from the Front and served with an explanation call.
