Proposed bandh suspended

IMPHAL, Dec 2 : The Mapithel Dam Affected Headmen, Chiefs and Elders Organisation (MDAHCEO) has suspended the proposed 48 hours bandh on Imphal-Ukhrul-Kamjong roads from December 3 to 4.
In a statement issued today, MDAHCEO said the bandh was planned as the Government had failed to implement the MoA which was signed between the organisation and the Government on December 4 last year but as the Government has given assurance that the agreements listed in the MoA would be implemented, MDAHCEO has decided to suspend the proposed bandh.
