THOUBAL, Dec 27: Union Minister RK Ranjan has explicitly held the previous Congress administration liable for the delayed progress in the State.
The MoS made the statement while addressing an event organised by BJP Wangkhem Mandal at the residence of Prof Dr Nimaichand Luwang in Yairipok, Bishnunaha on Monday.
Speaking as the chief guest, Rk Ranjan stated that the previous Congress administration's narrow political world view led to the people of the State being deprived of over 180 schemes introduced by the Modi Government at the centre.
He stated that PM Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 was launched after a written request of BJP Thoubal District and BJP Wangkhem Mandal informing about the areas which were not covered by the scheme.
He further urged the people to lend their support to the BJP, a party which stands for its citizens and aspires to bring positive changes into the lives of the people.
Prof Dr Nimaichand Luwang, spokesperson, BJP Manipur Pradesh, remarked that people have been made aware of how to avail themselves of the benefits provided by the schemes through the efforts of BJP Wangkhem Mandal.
He also assured that BJP Wangkhem Mandal will continue such activities for the welfare of the people in the future.
The event was attended by L Sunil, president BJP Wangkhem Mandal; Yumnam Kumarjit, president BJP Thoubal District and Md Najamuddin, District Supply Officer Thoubal as presidium members.
It may be noted that during the event 329 persons received Ayushman-PMJAY health cards and 84 households received cooking gas through PM Ujjwala Yojana.
