MHJU condemns

IMPHAL, Dec 26 : The Manipur Hill Journalists' Union (MHJU) has vehemently condemned the intimidation of The Sangai Express (TSE) staff on duty on December 24 last by some unidentified miscreants.
In a statement, the MHJU said that such an attack on media fraternity is concerning and cannot be accepted under any circumstances.
MHJU asserted that it stands in solidarity with the staff of TSE and endorses the resolution taken by Editors Guild Manipur (EGM) and All  Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) regarding the said unfortunate incident.
The media fraternity  in Manipur  has been facing many obstacles in providing information to the masses, the union said and asked the State Government to intervene and arrest the perpetrators at the earliest.
