RPF greets

IMPHAL, Dec 24 : The Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has greeted the people of Manipur on the eve of Christmas.
In its greeting, assistant secretary, publicity of RPF, Bangkim appealed to one and all to conform to the mandated standard operating procedures (SOPs) of COVID-19 while celebrating the festival as there is a threat  of Omicron variant striking Manipur at any point of time.
Let this festival which commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ bring peace, harmony and prosperity to the State, the outfit said.
The outfit further claimed that there are cases of certain extremists attacking the minority Christians weeks after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister according to Union of Catholic Association.
As per a report of World Watch, India topped in terms of persecuting the Christian community worldwide in 2017 , it claimed and alleged that   there were 2,224 cases of persecution of non-Hindus from 2016 to 2020.
Saying that there are still no cases of faith based violence in Manipur,  the outfit urged the people of Manipur to put on a collective fight against  divisive tactics.
