109 BN CRPF continues its civic action programme

109 BN CRPF under the aegis of IGP Manipur and Nagaland sector conducted a civic action programme today where water storage tanks were distributed to the villagers of Song Song Village Mao, Senapati district with an objective to extend a friendly and helping hand to the residents of Song Song village.
Sandeep, Second-in Command-109 Bn CRPF distributed the water storage Tanks to the needy persons of Song Song village in presence of D Lowli, Comdt RPSF (Retd), Derick, SDO, Mao, Major Nikhil, B/33 AR, P Longpignao, SDPO Mao, Jonah Raphuba Chawang, SHO Mao, Parvinder Kaur, DC, 109 Bn, CRPF, Vishal Chandra, AC 109 Bn and Insp/Gd- William Seiveinii, along with other officers and personnel of 109 BN, said a statement by the 109 BN CRPF. The programme was organised in a befitting manner with an aim to connect with the marginalized section of the society.
Addressing the gathering, Sandeep, Second-in Command-109 Bn CRPF said that it is the need of the hour and is a primary duty to take care of needy persons in the society.
He went on to state that their continued unabridged support has helped the CRPF to maintain peace and stability in the long disturbed and militancy prone State.
Also he maintained that CRPF has always stood and will remain committed for the good cause of the residents of Manipur in general and Mao in particular in harbouring a tranquil society.
Emphasizing on the importance of utility items like water storage tanks, he said that the water storage tanks are distributed to collect, store and preserve rain water in a step towards rain water harvesting, added the statement.
