STDCM prepones stir

IMPHAL, Dec 21 : The Scheduled Tribe Demand  Committee (STDCM) has preponed its proposed 18 hours total shutdown to the midnight of December 27, 2021 as December 29 is observed as Meira Paibi Day annually in the State.
The proposed shut down, earlier scheduled to begin from the midnight of December 28, will become effective if the State Government doesn't send the recommendation for granting ST status to Meetei/Meitei on or before 3 pm of December 27 to the Centre, as per a statement from STDCM.
