MSPCL wins excellence award

IMPHAL, Dec 21 : The State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC) of Manipur State Power Company Limited (MSPCL) has been conferred the 1st Load Despatch Centre (LDC) Excellence award in the emerging category at the 9th International Conference on Power Systems (ICPS)-2021 held at IIT Kharagpur, West Bengal from December 16 to 18, 2021.
A press release issued by MSPCL said that the LDC Excellence Award was instituted in the core committee meeting of the National Power System Conference (NPSC) held on November 23, 2020 in  recognition of the work done by the LDCs in the power sector in India.
Saying that the LDCs Excellence Award was considered on the basis of weighted average scores  derived from peak demand met, energy consumed and renewable energy installed capacity, the MSPCL added that the categories of the award was divided into four namely LDCs: NLDC/RLDCs, Large LDCs, Medium LDCs and Emerging LDCs.
Altogether 33 LDCs applied for the award out of 43 LDCs in the country.
