JAC serves ultimatum

The Joint Action Committee (JAC) against the accidental death of (L) Amos Bariampaan & (L) BL Agaiba has asked the owner of the truck which collided with one motorcycle (Bajaj Pulsar) at Longmai Part-V, Noney along the National Highway-37 yesterday at around 5.30 pm to show up for a talk tomorrow.
Yesterday, one empty Tata Truck bearing Assam registration number driven by one Abjal Hussain Lasker (30), s/o, Jaid Ali Lasker of Silchar, Assam, coming from Imphal towards Jiribam side met an accident with one Pulsar bearing Manipur registration number, said the JAC in a statement and added that the motorcycle was ridden by two VDF personnel-Amos Bariampaan (35), S/o Khatangwang Bariampaan, of Haochong Village Noney and BL Agaiba (33), S/o Kanidinlung of Bakwa Village, Noney.
Both of them were found dead when the doctors of Noney PHC rushed to the spot, added the JAC.
Saying that a case has been registered at Noney police station, it added that families of the deceased have interacted with the Noney police & CSOs leaders of Noney area yesterday at Noney police station and resolved to sit for a talk with the truck owner.
The JAC will launch different modes of agitation including shutdown of NH-37, Imphal Jiribam road, restricting all the State and Central projects at Noney area, including NF-Railway and ADB Road Construction work from tomorrow midnight if the ultimatum is not heeded.
