Manipur Chess Association gets new office bearers

IMPHAL, Dec 18
Th Nabachandra of Imphal East has been elected as the new president of Manipur Chess Association along with other office bearers for the term 2021-24.
The election of the office bearers was held today at the office of the Manipur Chess Association at Mapal Kangjeibung from 10 am to 2.30 pm, the association said in a press release.
During the election which was conducted with T Dhiren Singh as the returning officer, Th Nabachandra of Imphal East was elected uncontested as the president besides declaring AB Meetei (IW), P Rajendro Singh (IE), A Biren Singh (Jiribam) and RK Bheigyachandra (Bishnupur) as newly elected vice presidents, it said
S Dhanachandra Singh and GA Roshan Sharma were also elected respectively as the new honorary secretary and treasurer while Nelson Chithung of Senapati, Paoilal of Kangpokpi, Pashel Behensing of Chandel and Daai Pamei of Tamenglong were elected as joint secretaries, the release added.
