Political awareness programme conducted

Ukhrul, Dec 14: In preparation for the upcoming Manipur Assembly election, 45-Chingai Mandal organised a two days BJP booth level political awareness programme at New Tusom and Challou village under Chingai AC.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP intending candidate of 45-Chingai AC, Dr Khashim Ruivah stated that BJP is a people friendly political party working to uplift the marginalized people through development and better welfare schemes.
"The Central Government is prepared to pump and sanction any amount for our development but first we have to elect the right representative to get the due share of the developmental fund and bring tangible progress", he added.
Dr Ruivah mentioned that he decided to fight the ensuing Assembly Election through a BJP ticket to address the grievances of the people living in remote border villages of 45-Chingai constituency.
"The proposed Border Haat needs to be materialized at the earliest and all border villages have to be connected with all weather roads", he added.
Dr Ruivah also appealed to the people to give him the chance to accomplish his vision while adding that this may be his last journey to serve the public as a politician.
Dr Ruivah further exhorted his supporters and voters to exercise their rights without fear.
Shangmayo Vashum, headman of New Tusom; Th Yumchao, in charge of BJP Tamenglong District; Unit president, Agar Horam; and village leaders of New Tusom and Challou also spoke on the occasion.
Pamphlets on various developmental and welfare schemes initiated by the BJP Government were also distributed.
