IMPHAL, Dec 14: The All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) has informed that the annual common question/pre-board examinations for Class X students will be held from January 19 till February 3, 2022.
AMRPSWA secretary N Joykumar said this at a press conference held today at Manipur Press Club and added that the pre-board examination had been conducted every year since 2005 to familiarise the students with the pattern of the examinations and remove any exam fever amongst the students. The examination is meant for students slated to appear in the HSLCE examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM), he added.
As the pattern of the examination follows the criteria set by BOSEM strictly, it will also aid in increasing the pass percentage amongst the students in HSLCE, he added.
N Joykumar also appealed all the member schools of AMRPSWA to take part in the pre-board examination which will be conducted in strict adherence to all COVID-19 related SOPs.
He also warned that those school who abstain from the exam will not be allowed to give HSLCE conducted by BOSEM nor will they be allowed to submit marks to the board for HSLCE 2022.
All the parents and guardians are to pay an examination fee of Rs 200 to their respective school latest by January 5.
Responding to a question from the media, N Joykumar said last year about 150 member schools participated in pre-board examination out of 280 members, but this year it is stipulated that more than 200 member schools may participate in the pre-board examination.
N Joykumar also appealed all the CSO and other bodies not to call any bandhs, blockade or strike during the period of the examination.
