SEACO organises workshop on Meetei culture

JIRIBAM, Dec 12: South East Asia Cultural Organisation (SEACO) on Saturday organised a one day workshop on "Meetei Culture and Reformation of SEACO Jiri Branch" at Lamlen Atingbi (Hilghat) Community Hall in Jiribam District.
It was attended by Manipur Food Industries Corporation Ltd vice chairman, K SaratKumar Singh; SEACO (H/O) working president, Sanabam Amuchou Mangang; Retd DI School, Jiribam, Oinam Brajamani; SEACO (H/O) advisor, Akham Langol Meetei; SEACO (H/O) general secretary, Irengbam Indrajit Meetei; Apunba Keithel Sinnaibi Lup Kangleipak (AKSIL) president, Khamnam Sobhapati and Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA), Jiribam District Council president, Chongtham Achou Meetei as presidium members.
During the programme, two minute silence was observed to pay respect to the deceased members of SEACO, Jiri Branch.
Speaking on the occasion, K Saratkumar Singh stated that it is vital to remember all who had sacrificed and worked towards the preservation of Meetie culture.
He also appealed to the people to provide their assistance in preserving the Meetei culture for the future generation.
Besides, new officer bearers of SEACO, Jiri Branch included L Nilla Moirangcha (president), K Babudhon Luwang (vice president), Y Naba Khumancha (working president), Sagolsem Sarat Mangang (general secretary), S Chaoba Moirangcha (treasurer), Ch Keba (information & publicity secretary) and S Lalmani (advisor).
