IMPHAL, Dec 9 : Chandel were held to a 1-1 draw by Churachandpur as Ukhrul came out 5-1 victorious against Tamenglong at Sports Complex Chandel in the ongoing 6th Hill District Sports Meet organized by Hill District Sports Association, Manipur (HIDSAM).
In the fifth match of the sports meet, Chandel were 1-0 ahead till the break with Armstrong goal in the 2nd minute but Seiminthang Haokip scored in the 42nd minute to help Churachandpur salvage a 1-1 draw.
Later in a one sided encounter, Yami Longvah scored a hattrick to hand Ukhrul a comfortable 5-1 win over Tamenglong.
Yami scored all his goals in the first half, with his first coming up in the 14th minute and the remaining in the 19th and the 23rd minutes.
Keishing earned Ukhrul fourth goal in the 31st minute before Ngachonhor PK banged in the team's final goal two minutes later.
Lungaithui did pull a goal back for Tamenglong in the 41st minute but the team failed to add more as Ukhrul defense line produced an outstanding performance to deter any further changes in the scoreline.
