THOUBAl, Nov 7: Kangambam Jadumani, intending candidate in Wangkhem AC, has provided roofing sheets to two families in Hayellabuk today.
Speaking to media, Kangambam Jadumani said he had been extending assistance to needy families not just in Wangkhem AC but throughout the State. While visiting various villages in Wangkhem AC, he came across some houses which were in a pity conditions.
He added that even though the Indian Government has initiated schemes to ensure that everyone has a roof overhead, two families in Hayellabuk Mayai Leikai, one belonging to Mv Abdur Rahim, s.o Najir Khan and another belonging to Md Apik, s/o (late) Md Tomba were in a sorry state and needed immediate attention. In order to protect the families from harsh weather, the roofing sheets were provided to them. Kangambam Jadumani assured that he will continue to provide assistance to all the needy families of Wangkhem AC and promised that if he is elected as representative in the upcoming election, no families have to suffer because of lack of a house.
Speaking to media, Md Apik said he had been extending his support to the standing MLA for the last 15 years but had not extended a single help to his family. Kangabam Jadumani coming to extend help to his family is very emotional and added his family is grateful to social worker Kangabam Jadumani for his actions. He also added that he will work and support him in the upcoming election.
Kangabam Jadumani also inspected some other houses which were in a similar conditions and assured the families that he will provide materials to repair their houses very soon.
