President of VDF Welfare Assn honoured

IMPHAL, Nov 3
President of  All Manipur VDF Welfare Association Central Committee Md Riyaj Khan was honoured at the 21st Peace and Communal Harmony and AMACSDS State level awards function 2020-21 during the commemoration of Meidingu Maharaj Okendro Sana Ningsing Thouram organised by All Manipur Art & Culture and Sports Development Society (AMMACO) on October 31 held at Asha Hall North AOC.
In a statement released today, All Manipur VDF Welfare Association Central Committee expressed joy at the conferment of a State award to the Committee president and added that Md Riyaj Khan is the fourth son of Md Siraj Ahamed and Sirajan Bibi hailing from Mayang Imphal Bengoon Mayai Leikai.
MLA Y Irabot handed over the award which consisted of a certificate, memento, shawl etc the statement added.
Md Riyaj Khan was also honoured in 2018-2019 by AITUC Manipur and Irabot Celebration Committee with the awards - "Fighting Against Social Ills" and "Young Social Workers".
All Manipur VDF Welfare Association Central Committee has stated that it will consider the State award as an acknowledgement of the hard work and labour put in by all 10050 VDF by the public and the State.
