Nambul Rejuvenation campaign held

IMPHAL, Nov 3: The Nambul River Protection Committee, Uripok organised 'Rejuvenation of Nambul River Campaign: Ganga Utsav-A River Festival' at the complex of Apunba Tengbang Marup in Uripok Panchai Maning today.
Speaking at the event, Th Alex, development officer, Directorate of Environment and Climate Change , said the programme was organised with protection, preservation and cleaning of Nambul river. With the support from the public, there has been some success in keeping the river and its banks clean but there is still a long way to go before the target is achieved.
The programme was organised under the supervision of Directorate of Environment and Climate Change and was also attended by Sagolsem Rajesh, secretary Apunba Tengbang Marup, Kh Dhananjoy, secretary Khoisnam Leikai Youth Development Committee and B Shanti Sharma, president Youth Club Achom Leikai as presidium members.
